Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - fresh Ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 tsp - ground cumin
  • 4 cups -water
  • 2 cups - basmati Rice
  • 2 tsp - salt
  • 1 - Lemon

How to Make Ginger Citrus Rice

  • In saucepan with medium heat, heat oil until very hot.
  • Add ginger root, ground cumin and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add 4 cups water and bring to a boil.
  • Stir in rice and salt.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 15 to 18 mins, until all water is absorbed and rice is tender.
  • Stir in lime juice.
