How to Make Ginger Plate

  • Put the butter to melt in a heavy pan over low heat while you make the biscuit crumbs.
  • Put the biscuits in a plastic bag and place the bag in a towel.
  • Crush them with a rolling pin.
  • Stir the butter into the crumbs until you have a stiff paste.
  • Press the buttered crumb mixture into a circle in the middle of a dinner plate. Press down firmly. Chill.
  • Whip up the cream and sugar until it holds its shape. Mix in the chopped ginger.
  • Peel, scrape and slice the bananas. Turn them in the lemon juice.
  • Fold them into the whipped cream and pile them onto the chilled biscuit crust.
