Ingredients

  • 100g - fresh tender Ginger
  • 100g - Tamarind
  • 2 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • a little - Asafetida
  • 1 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 8-12 - Red Chilli
  • How to Make Ginger thokku:

    1. Wash the ginger, peel and cut into small pieces. Grind it with tamarind, salt and red chilli.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida powder.
    3. Add ground paste and cook for 5 mins on a low flame.
