How to Make Gluay Guan (Thai Banana Cake)

  • Peel the bananas.
  • Use a beater or food processor to blend the coconut milk and bananas to a smooth paste.
  • Saute the smooth paste in a large non-stick pan over medium heat for about 10 mins, until the mixture is dry.
  • Add both the sugars and salt, and continue to mix and cook until the mixture caramelizes.
  • Spread on a baking sheet to a thickness of 1 inch and allow to cool.
  • Cut into 1 inch pieces and serve.
