Ingredients

  • 2 pomfrets, cleaned, heads and tail removed, sliced
  • 3 cups coconut, grated
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander seeds
  • 3 cocums or peeled Raw Mango pieces (if in season)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Goa fish curry:

    1. Wash fish slices and marinate in turmeric, chilli powder and salt to taste.
    2. Liquidise coconut and extract first thick milk (1.5 cups) and then thin milk (1 cup).
    3. Heat oil, add fish and turn without breaking.
    4. Add thin coconut milk and cocum or mango. Cool it till done.
    5. Add thick coconut milk.
    6. Boil only once and serve hot with rice.
