Ingredients

  • 2 pomfrets, cleaned, heads and tail removed, sliced
  • 3 cups coconut, grated
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander seeds
  • 3 cocums or peeled raw mango pieces (if in season)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Goa fish curry

  • Wash fish slices and marinate in turmeric, chilli powder and salt to taste.
  • Liquidise coconut and extract first thick milk (1.5 cups) and then thin milk (1 cup).
  • Heat oil, add fish and turn without breaking.
  • Add thin coconut milk and cocum or mango. Cool it till done.
  • Add thick coconut milk.
  • Boil only once and serve hot with rice.
