Ingredients

  • 250 g - Cauliflower florets
  • 100 g ( 1 cup ) - mutter ( fresh green peas)
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds ( Jeera )
  • 1 - onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tsp - Ginger paste (adrak )
  • 1.5 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 to 4 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 1/2 tsp - salt ( or to taste )
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - water
  • How to Make Gobi Mutter Adraki:

    1. Wash and clean cauliflower florets.
    2. Boil 2 cups of water with 1/2 a tsp of salt and keep cauliflower florets for 10 minutes.
    3. Drain out water completely.
    4. Heat oil in a wide kadai / frying pan.
    5. Add jeera (cumin seeds ) and fry for 2 - 3 minutes or until fragrant.
    6. Add finely sliced onion and fry till golden brown.
    7. Add slit green chilli, ginger paste, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
    8. Stir well for 3 - 4 minutes ( or till the raw smell disappears ).
    9. Add cauliflower florets, mutter, 2 - 3 tbsps of water ( just sprinkle water) and salt to taste.
    10. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a tight lid and cook on low to medium heat, for 15 minutes or until done (water dries up) and mutter and cauliflower softens.
    11. Serve as a side dish with rotis / rice / pulao.
