  • Besan flour - 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • A pinch - asafoetida
  • Salt to taste

  • Finely chop the cabbage and keep aside.
  • Mix rest of the ingredients and prepare a fine paste.
  • Mix the chopped cabbage with the paste.
  • Make small portions of the cabbage paste and deep-fry until golden brown.
  • Serve the pakodas hot with tomato sauce.
