Ingredients

  • 1 cup - self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups - fresh corn, cut from cob (about three ears)
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • Hot vegetable oil for frying
  • How to Make Golden Corn Fritters:

    1. Combine first four ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well and set aside.
    2. Combine eggs, corn, milk, and 2 tbsp vegetable oil; mix well. Stir corn mixture into dry ingredients.
    3. Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonful into oil heated to 375 degrees; cook fritters until golden, turning once.
