Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - basmati rice, washed well
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 cup - tender peas
  • 5 tbsp - oil
  • 1 egg, hard-boiled, shelled, sliced
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Golden pea pulao

  • Heat sugar in a pressure cooker till it caramelizes.
  • Add oil and heat. Add onions. Brown.
  • Add rice and peas and stir fry till golden.
  • Add salt and 5.5 cups hot water.
  • Cook under pressure for 7 mins.
  • Cool and transfer to a serving dish.
  • Decorate with egg slices.
