Ingredients

  • 2 kg - gooseberries (the star variety)
  • 3 kg - Sugar
  • 1/2 kg - raisins, minced finely
  • 1 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 3 liters - boiled and cooled water

How to Make Gooseberry Wine

  • Lightly crush the gooseberries.
  • Mix all the ingredients together and store in a porcelain jar for 21 days stirring it every day.
  • Strain the wine on the 22nd day.
  • Add caramelized sugar to get the desired colour and bottle it.
  • This wine should be used within a month.
