  • 1 - medium size Ridge gourd (gossale)
  • 1 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 pinches - Hing (asafetida)
  • 1/4 tsp - salt (or to taste)
  • 150 ml - oil, to Deep Fried
  • How to Make Gossale Sheer Thelleli:

    1. Wash gossale and wipe with a kitchen towel.
    2. Cut gossale into 1.5 inch roundels and gently peel off thick sheer.
    3. In a small bowl, mix gossale sheer with rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing and salt.
    4. Apply it evenly on gossale sheer. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
    5. Heat oil in a pan or karahi on medium heat. Deep Fried the marinated gossale sheer, until crisp and golden brown, on both the sides.
    6. Drain out the oil and place on a kitchen towel / paper towel, to absorb extra oil.
    7. Serve hot with rice and other accompaniments.
