Ingredients

  • Lauki - 1
  • Black channa - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
  • Grated coconut -1/3 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seed - 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1tbsp.

How to Make Grated Lauki Curry

  • Soak black channa for 8-10 hours and pressure cook it till it is done.
  • Peel and grate the lauki.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add the cumin seeds.
  • When it splutters, add the onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Then add the ginger paste and fry for a minute. Add the black channa, grated gourd and salt.
  • Cook it till the gourd is done.
  • Then add the grated coconut and milk.
  • Let it boil for a minute and remove it from heat.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.
