How to Make Green Apple Relish

  • Squeeze the juice from the grated apples and keep aside.
  • Heat enough oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add asafoetida powder and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add grated apple and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add red chilli powder, mango powder, salt and cook on simmer for a few minutes until the oil separates.
  • Add lemon juice and turn off the stove.
  • Let it cool completely and store it in an air-tight bottle.
