  • 2 - Granny Smith apples (peeled and grated)
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Mango powder
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - asafetida powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required
  • How to Make Green Apple Relish:

    1. Squeeze the juice from the grated apples and keep aside.
    2. Heat enough oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
    3. Add asafoetida powder and fry for a few minutes.
    4. Add grated apple and saute for a few minutes.
    5. Add red chilli powder, mango powder, salt and cook on simmer for a few minutes until the oil separates.
    6. Add lemon juice and turn off the stove.
    7. Let it cool completely and store it in an air-tight bottle.
