Ingredients

  • Spinach - 3 bunches
  • Onions - 3
  • Peas - 2 cups (frozen)
  • Garlic - 10 flakes
  • Ginger - 1 small piece
  • Green chillies - 8
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes - 4
  • Oil/ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch

How to Make Green Bhaji

  • Grind ginger, garlic, chillies, coriander to a fine paste with a little water.
  • Heat ghee/oil. Add sliced onions and saute till brown.
  • Add the ground masala and fry on low heat till oil separates.
  • Add turmeric, salt, peas, chopped spinach and chopped tomatoes.
  • Pour enough water, cover and cook on medium heat till spinach wilts.
  • Mix 1/2 tsp garam masala. Stir and take off from the heat.
  • Serve hot with chapattis.
