Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken (skinless)
  • 12 - green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2- lemons
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • Curry leaves
  • Pudina/Mint leaves
  • 3- tomatoes (grind to puree)
  • 2 - onions

How to Make Green Chicken

  • Clean and wash chicken pieces and put in a pan.
  • Slit 6 green chillies length-wise and add to the chicken. Also add lemon juice, vinegar, pepper, salt and turmeric.
  • Cook the chicken until all the water evaporates and chicken becomes tender.
  • Finally add tomato puree.
  • Grind the remaining chillies, curry leaves and mint leaves. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in another pan, fry the onions till golden brown, add ginger-garlic paste and green masala paste to it.
  • Add cooked chicken to it and cook on a low flame.
  • Add garam masala and serve.
