  • 1/4 kg - Green chilli
  • 1/4 kg - Tomatoes
  • 200 g - Tamarind
  • 4 tsp - chilli powder
  • Gingili oil, to fry
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Fenugreek
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Green Chilli Thokku:

    1. Soak tamarind in water and keep it aside.
    2. Slit the green chillies.
    3. Keep oil in a pan and heat it, splutter mustard, add fenugreek, curry leaves, green chillies and saute them till it turns brown.
    4. Then add the tomatoes, tamarind water, chilli powder, salt and mix them well and saute them.
    5. Keep on stirring and when it becomes a thick paste and when the oil separates, take it off from the stove and allow it cool.
