How to Make Green gram Coriander Pulao

  • Grind all the mentioned ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Soak Basmati rice with yoghurt and two cups of water, for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, fry the whole spices until they turn brown.
  • Add chopped onions, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute.
  • Add green grams, salt, grounded masala and cook everything on medium flame for 5 minutes.
  • Drain the soaked yoghurt-water from the rice and add it to the cooking vegetables.
  • Close the cooker with the lid and let it boil.
  • Add the soaked rice and stir. Close the lid and put the weight and cook up to 3 whistles.
  • Serve warm with onion raita.
