How to Make Green gram Medhu Vada

  • Soak the urad dal for an hour.
  • Grind the whole green gram for a few minutes and then add the urad dal, and grind both into a coarse paste.
  • Add salt, onion, green chillies, ginger pieces, curry leaves, peppercorns, fennel seed powder. Mix everything by hands.
  • Heat oil in a thick-bottomed kadai.
  • Make small balls from the batter and flatten these using fingers.
  • Drop gently one by one to the medium hot oil.
  • Deep Fried the vadas until they turn brown.
