Ingredients

  • 1kg - chicken
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Large bunch pudina/mint leaves
  • 7-8 Green chillies
  • 2tbsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 big bunch - fresh methi leaves or 2 tbsp - kasoori methi
  • Oil for cooking

How to Make Green masala chicken

  • Clean chicken, rub with salt and pepper and shallow fry in oil till brown. Keep aside.
  • Make a paste of mint and green chillies. keep aside.
  • In a pan, add oil fry the onions till golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric.
  • After a few minutes, add methi leaves fry till transparent.
  • Add the chicken pieces, then add salt and the mint paste.
  • Fry till it changes colour and oil leaves the sides.
  • Add some water and cook till the chicken is tender.
  • Serve either with hot rice or rotis or with jeera rice.
