  • 1/2 kg - medium size prawns cleaned and de-veined
  • 2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 4 green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves, 2 cardamom, 2 pieces of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 onions sliced finely
  • 1/2 cup - coconut paste

How to Make Green Masala Prawns

  • Grind the green chillies, coriander leaves, coconut, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and cumin seeds to a smooth paste in a blender.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and fry for some time.
  • Now add the ground masala, salt and mix well.
  • Keep frying on low heat till the oil separates from the mixture.
  • Add the prawns, sufficient water to cover the prawns and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
