Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Basmati Rice (cooked)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger (chopped finely)
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 cup - green Spring onions (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 10 - Cashew nuts
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Green Spring Onion-Vengayathaal Fried Rice:

    1. Heat enough oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin seeds, cashew nuts, ginger, onions and green chillies and saute until the onions turn translucent.
    2. Add salt, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and cook for a few seconds.
    3. Add chopped spring onions and cook for 2-3 seconds.
    4. Add Basmati rice and toss gently until everything gets mixed.
