Ingredients

  • 2 - green Tomatoes
  • 2 - red Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - Tamarind
  • 1 bunch - Mint
  • 1 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 4 to 5 - Green chillies
  • 3 to 4 small pieces - fresh Coconut
  • 1 flake - Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Green Tomato Chutney:

    1. Roast urad dal till light brown. Keep aside after roasting.
    2. Roast garlic, coconut and keep it aside.
    3. Take mint and fry it in a pan (use only the mint leaves).
    4. Wash the tomatoes and remove the seeds.
    5. Grind tomatoes, garlic, coconut, tamarind, mint, urad dal, chillies, salt together without water.
    6. This forms a semi-solid paste which can be enjoyed with dosa, rotis, chapatti and vegetables.
