Ingredients

  • 5 - unripe green Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp - grated Ginger
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • Olive oil as required
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Green Tomato Kura:

    1. Cut the unripe tomatoes into small pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin, mustard seeds and let it splutter.
    3. Add the tomatoes with enough salt and cook until tender.
    4. Grind grated coconut, green chillies and ginger in a mixer.
    5. Add this ground paste to the tomatoes.
    6. Mix well and cook everything for a few minutes.
    7. Serve hot with chapattis or idlis.
