Ingredients

  • 250 g- Firm green tomatoes
  • 1 large- Hard apple, peeled, cored, diced
  • 1 large - Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp- Fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 10-12 - long, hot green chillies, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - White vinegar
  • 1/4tsp- Cinnamon-clove powder
  • 2 tbsp- Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp- Salt
  • 1 tbsp - Oil.

How to Make Green Tomato Relish

  • Heat oil in a heavy pan and saute the add onion.
  • Add 1 tbsp vinegar and simmer till onions are pink.
  • Now add the tomatoes and apples and cook until the mixture is mushy.
  • Now add all the other ingredients and until the sugar dissolves.
  • Simmer until it thickens and dries up.
  • Pour this into a sterile jar, cool and seal.
  • Shelf Life : 4 months refrigerated
