Ingredients

  • 3 fresh unripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2-3 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 small peice ginger, finely diced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp- fresh Lime juice
  • 1 tsp- oil
  • 1/2 tsp- Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp- Urad Dal
  • 1/4 tsp- Asafoetida powder

How to Make Green Tomato Salad

  • Combine diced tomatoes, chillies, ginger and salt. Mix well.
  • Add lime juice, mix and set aside for a few minutes.
  • Heat oil in a small pan, saute black mustard and urad dal till the mustard starts to pop.
  • Add asafoetida powder and saute for a few seconds and combine with tomato.
  • Serve with rice or chapathi meal.
