Ingredients

  • 4 bunches - fresh greens
  • 1 - large onion, chopped
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • How to Make Greens Foogath:

    1. Chop the greens into small bits then wash well and drain.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
    3. When they begin to splutter add the onions, green chillies and curry leaves and fry till the onions are slightly brown.
    4. Toss in the greens.
    5. Add salt and coconut.
    6. Cover and cook for a few minutes till all the water dries up, then take down.
