Ingredients

  • 4 bunches - fresh greens
  • 1 - large onion, chopped
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds

How to Make Greens Foogath

  • Chop the greens into small bits then wash well and drain.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
  • When they begin to splutter add the onions, green chillies and curry leaves and fry till the onions are slightly brown.
  • Toss in the greens.
  • Add salt and coconut.
  • Cover and cook for a few minutes till all the water dries up, then take down.
