Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken mince
  • 2 cups - fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup - low-fat milk
  • 3 tsp - red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp - cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp - garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin, grounded
  • 2 tbsp - mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/4 tsp - black pepper, ground or cracked
  • 1 tbsp - olive oil
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp - Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp - freshly chopped tarragon leaves
  • 4 - burger buns, split and toasted
  • 4 slices - Swiss cheese
  • 8 leaves- lettuce
  • 1 ripe tomato, thinly sliced

How to Make Grilled Chicken Burger

  • Put chicken in a mixing bowl, add milk and bread crumbs.
  • Add onions, cayenne, garlic, cumin, cheese, salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients with a spatula.
  • Divide chicken meat into 4 or 5 piles and using your hands, shape into patties.
  • Preheat the grill.
  • Brush both sides of the pattie with the olive oil.
  • Grill patties until cooked through.
  • Combine mayonnaise, mustard and tarragon to form sauce.
  • Slather the bun top and bottom with the sauce.
  • Stack lettuce, sliced tomato, onion and cucumber on the bottom bun.
  • Top with chicken pattie and a slice of cheese.
  • Put bun tops in place.
  • Serve immediately.
