Ingredients

  • 500 g - king fish , cut into 2 inch pieces (or any fish of your choice )
  • 2 cups - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Lemon juice
  • 3 - green chillies, slit
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - black Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp - Coriander seeds
  • 10 - whole black pepper
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 cup - chopped Onion
  • 2 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Grilled Fish with Lemon 'n' Coriander

  • Wash and dry the fish. Marinate it in a paste of salt, lime juice and ginger-garlic paste for 15 to 20 mins.
  • Set oven temp to broil and preheat.
  • Dry roast the mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds , fennel seeds and pepper and blend this along with coriander leaves, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste to make a smooth masala.
  • Fry onions in a skillet till translucent.
  • To this add, tomato puree and garam masala powder.
  • Add the masala paste and fry till done.
  • Coat one side of the fish pieces with this mixture , drizzle a tbsp of oil and broil for 7 to 8 minutes in an oven-safe baking tray.
  • Coat the other side of the fish pieces with the mixture and broil for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
