Ingredients

  • 500 g - king fish , cut into 2 inch pieces (or any fish of your choice )
  • 2 cups - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Lemon juice
  • 3 - green chillies, slit
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - black Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp - Coriander seeds
  • 10 - whole black pepper
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 cup - chopped Onion
  • 2 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Grilled Fish with Lemon 'n' Coriander:

    1. Wash and dry the fish. Marinate it in a paste of salt, lime juice and ginger-garlic paste for 15 to 20 mins.
    2. Set oven temp to broil and preheat.
    3. Dry roast the mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds , fennel seeds and pepper and blend this along with coriander leaves, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste to make a smooth masala.
    4. Fry onions in a skillet till translucent.
    5. To this add, tomato puree and garam masala powder.
    6. Add the masala paste and fry till done.
    7. Coat one side of the fish pieces with this mixture , drizzle a tbsp of oil and broil for 7 to 8 minutes in an oven-safe baking tray.
    8. Coat the other side of the fish pieces with the mixture and broil for another 3 to 4 minutes.
    9. Serve hot.
