Ingredients

  • 3 - large pomfrets
  • 2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - lime juice
  • 2 tsp - curds/yogurt
  • 1 tsp - tandoori masala powder (available in the shops)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Grilled Whole Fish With Tandoori Masala

  • Trim, clean and remove the insides of the fish. Discard the tails, then wash well.
  • Mix the all the ingredients together
  • Slit the fish sideways and make a few gashes on top with a knife.
  • Apply the paste all over the fish and inside as well. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
  • Place the fish in a buttered baking dish. Drizzle oil all over.
  • Bake in a moderate oven(350 degrees F) for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Serve with onions rings and lemon wedges.
