Ingredients

  • 250 g - jasmine Rice or ponni Rice
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • Garlic - 3 Cloves
  • 2 - shallots, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 350 ml - Chicken stock
  • 1tbsp - Butter
  • How to Make Hainanese Rice (Singapore Style):

    1. Heat butter in a cooker
    2. Saute the chopped onions till translucent
    3. Add the rice and fry for a while
    4. Now add the chopped ginger and garlic, add chicken stock and required salt.
    5. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for four whistles
    6. Serve.
