Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1kg
  • Onions - 2
  • Spring onion - 50 g
  • Green chillies - 6
  • Soya sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic, chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper - 3/4 tsp
  • Vinegar - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 50 g
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Hakka Chicken:

    1. Half cook the chicken with a little salt and keep aside.
    2. Chop the green chillies and soak it in the vinegar. Keep aside.
    3. In a wok, heat oil and add chopped onions and saute till golden brown.
    4. Then add all the sauces, salt, pepper powder and saute for a few seconds.
    5. Add chicken to it and a little water.
    6. When it starts boiling, add the soaked green chillies and boil in low flame for 5-7 mins.
    7. Garnish with spring onion.
    8. Serve hot.
