Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - tender green gram
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 slice raw mango, finely chopped (on availability)
  • or lemon juice as per taste
  • 1 tbsp - fine sev
  • 1/2 cup - mixed farsan or puffed rice (murmure)
  • 1 tbsp - tamarind chutney
  • 1/2 tsp - green all purpose chutney
  • salt to taste

How to Make Harbara Bhel

  • Mix together gram, onion, tomato, mango (or lemon), salt.
  • Add coriander (save some for garnish).
  • Just before serving, add farsan (or murmure), half sev, chutneys.
  • Mix well. Serve in individual bowls.
  • Garnish with remaining coriander and sev.
  • Serve immediately.
