- 1 cup (grated)
Elaichi / Cardmom powder - 1/4 tsp

to serve and add in the flour

How to Make Healthy Puranpoli
Mix the dough with ghee and little salt and knead it well.
Cook the channa dal well, soft but not minced. Run this throw a sieve or muslin cloth.
In this mixture add the grated jaggery.
Cook this dal and jaggery mixture till it forms a mass. The mass is cooked when it leaves the sides of the vessel.
Now mix the pre-soaked and mashed sweet potato and cardomom powder.
Fill this mixture into the kneaded dough, one by one - like we make parathas.
Roll these mixture filled rotis one by one.
Cook on low flame, on both the sides.
Apply ghee and serve hot.
The above recipe is a rich source of carbohydrates, starch, vitamin A and betacarotene. Healthy twist to the regular Puran poli.
