  • Black gram dal - 1/2 cup
  • Green gram dal - 1/2 cup
  • Whole wheat rava - 1 cup
  • Green chilli - 1 tsp, chopped
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make High-Protein Wheat Idlis

  • Wash and soak both the dals in water for 1 hour.
  • Grind to a fluffy batter, using the water in which the dals were soaked. Add salt and keep covered for 3-4 hours.
  • Meanwhile soak wheat rava in water for 1-2 hours.
  • Drain the rava and add to dal batter. Add rest of the ingredients.
  • Pour in greased idly moulds and steam for 15 minutes. Serve.
