Ingredients

  • Groundnut Oil – 250 ml
  • Dried Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
  • Dried Birds Eye Chilli (unnakka Kandaari) – 5 – 8 nos

How to Make Home Made Chilli Oil

  • Heat Oil till bubbling. Remove from flame. Allow to cool completely.
  • Toast dried Chilli flakes for 30 – 90 seconds in a hot pan, be careful not to burn it.
  • To the sterilised bottle add the toasted chilli flakes, pour the oil carefully over it. Store in a cool dry place for 2 weeks before using.
  • As you can see in the photograph, the difference in colour between the groundnut oil and chilli oil. Now it is ready to be used.
