Ingredients

  • 100g - oma podi/sev
  • 10 - small pooris
  • 2 - Potatoes (medium)
  • 1/2 cup - Bengal Gram (Kadalaparippu)
  • 2 cups - Puffed rice(Pori)
  • 2 - Onions(medium)
  • 1- Tomato (small)
  • 1/4 cup - Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup - Raw Mango pieces (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Mint leaves(Pudhina) for Mint chutney
  • How to Make Homemade Bhel Puri:

    1. Boil the potatoes, peel and mash.
    2. Boil the bengal gram in a separate vessel.
    3. Chop the onions and tomatoes finely.
    4. Prepare oma podi, sweet chutney, mint chutney and small puris.
    5. In a large bowl, mix puffed rice, onions, tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, mashed potatoes, small puris, cooked dal and mix well.
