Ingredients

  • 1 cup ( 100 g ) -cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup - ( 50 g ) sugar
  • 1 tbsp - whisked egg white
  • 4 - cardamoms ( seeds only )
  • 2 drops - lemon juice
  • A pinch - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - butter

How to Make Homemade cashewnut cardamom macaroons

  • Powder sugar with cardamom (seeds only) and keep aside.
  • Cut the cashew nuts into very small pieces.
  • Grease a baking tray with 1/2 tsp of butter.
  • Preheat oven at 150 degree C or 300 degree F.
  • In a bowl, mix cashew nut pieces, powdered sugar, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and whisked egg white.
  • Drop the macaroon mixture by the spoonful, on the baking tray or you can make desired shape. Keep a distance of 3 cm between the macaroons.
  • Bake at 300 degree F or 150 degree C for 15 - 17 minutes, or until there is a slight colour change.
  • Remove from oven. Cool for 5 minutes before removing.
