Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - long grain Rice (washed and soaked for 20 minutes)
  • 150 g - French beans (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium sized Carrots (finely chopped)
  • 2 to 3 Spring onions (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup - Green peas
  • 1 Capsicum (finely sliced)/ boiled Chicken pieces
  • ½ tsp - aji-no-motto
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 to 2 tbsp - soya sauce ( or as required)
  • 4 to 5 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Homemade Fried Rice:

    1. Parboil the rice in sufficient water with salt.
    2. Drain out the water and keep aside in a open plate to cool completely.
    3. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
    4. Add the spring onions. Saute till transparent.
    5. Add French beans, carrots and peas.
    6. Saute for few minutes till the vegetables are tender but crunchy.
    7. Add capsicums/ chicken pieces, rice, salt, pepper powder and ajinomoto.
    8. Gently saute for 5 mins.
    9. Add soya sauce and mix well. Remove and serve hot.
    10. Note: Add boiled chicken pieces if you want to have chicken fried rice.
