Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - whole Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - active Dry yeast
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 cup - lukewarm water
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • a few drops of Milk

How to Make

  • Add the yeast, sugar and salt to the lukewarm water, give it a stir and keep aside for 5 minutes, allowing the yeast to turn foamy.
  • Take the flours in a large bowl and add the foaming yeast water and oil. Knead a soft dough.
  • Arrange the dough in a large greased bowl and keep in a warm place for an hour until the dough doubles in volume.
  • After an hour, punch down the dough and knead again.
  • Make 6 medium-sized balls from the dough and arrange one by one in a greased mould. Keep aside for an hour in a warm place.
  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Brush the breads with milk and bake in the middle rack for 15-20 minutes until a golden brown crust forms over the bread.
  • Turn off the oven and let the pavs cool.
