  • 1 cup - sprouted horse gram
  • 3/4 cup - sprouted channa
  • 4 - red chillies or adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp - rice flour
  • 1 tsp - corn flour
  • 1 tsp - fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 2 tsp - coriander (finely chopped)
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Horse gram chickpea vada

  • Coarsely grind horse gram, channa and red chillies along with salt. Sprinkle a little water while grinding.
  • Combine rice flour, corn flour, fennel, garam masala, coriander and curry leaves to the ground mixture.
  • Make small balls and gently flatten them.
  • Heat oil and fry the vadas, a few at a time, till golden brown.
  • Serve with coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
