Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Horse gram (cooked)
  • 3 - Potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1 - Carrot (cooked)
  • 1/2 cup - Green peas
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Amchur powder
  • 2 tbsp - Cornflour
  • Breadcrumbs (for crust)
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Horse gram Chops

  • Mix cooked horse gram, potatoes, carrots along with garam masala powder, amchur powder and salt.
  • Meanwhile, heat few drops of oil, saute the onions, green chillies together until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add the green peas and cook for a few minutes until it turns soft.
  • Add the sauteed vegetables to the horse gram mixture and mix everything well, make oval shapes and keep side.
  • Make a paste with corn flour and water, dip the rolled chops in the corn flour paste and roll over the bread crumbs.
  • Store in the fridge for an hour.
  • Heat enough oil for shallow frying, fry the chops in small batches until it turns golden brown, serve with ketchup or any hot sauce.
