How to Make Hot and Sour Fish Curry

  • Wash the fish well and rub with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, wash again, drain well.
  • Soak tamarind in 1 cup of hot water and extract the juice.
  • Heat oil and, temper with mustard and curry leaves.
  • Add onions and fry till light brown.
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder and 1/2 cup water.
  • Simmer for 5 mins.
  • Add the tamarind extract.
  • Simmer for 3 mins.
  • Add fish slices and salt.
  • Cover and simmer till the fish is cooked.
  • Serve.
