Ingredients

  • 3 - potatoes.
  • 1 - onion.
  • 1 cup - fresh grated coconut.
  • 1 tsp - cumin.
  • 1 tsp - black pepper corns.
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 4 big flakes - garlic.
  • 1 stalk - curry leaves.
  • 2 tbsp - ghee.
  • Salt to taste|

How to Make Hot and Spicy Potato Curry

  • Heat ghee in a pan, add garlic flakes and fry till slightly brown.
  • Add cumin, peppercorns and coconut and fry for a few mins.
  • Now add turmeric, coriander, chilli powder and fry for a few more seconds.
  • Cool and grind to a fine paste adding enough water.
  • Heat the rest of the ghee and saute the onions till it becomes transparent.
  • Add the potatoes and the ground paste. Pour enough water to immerse the potatoes, add salt, curry leaves and mix well.
  • Cover and cook till the potatoes are tender and gravy is medium thick.
  • Serve hot.
