  • Maida or all purpose flour - 1/4 kg
  • 1/2 tbsp - Hing powder
  • A pinch of soda bicarb
  • Chilli powder as per taste
  • Salt to Taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • For sweet biscuits:
  • Maida or all purpose flour- 1/4 kg
  • Sugar - 250 g
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of soda bicarbonate
  • Oil for frying
  • How to Make Hot and Sweet Biscuits:

    1. Mix maida or all-purpose flour, hing powder, salt, chilli powder, soda bicarbonate in a large bowl.
    2. Add enough water to bind to a soft dough.
    3. Knead the dough well for five minutes.
    4. Divide the dough into eight portions.
    5. Roll out each portion into a round shape.
    6. Now take a knife and cut it into small diamond shape.
    7. Heat oil in a kadai.
    8. Drop the pieces in to the oil and fry till golden brown in colour.
    9. Drain and preserve it in clean dry air tight jar.
    10. For sweet biscuits: Mix maida or allpurpose flour, salt, soda bicarbonate in a large bowl.
    11. Follow the above steps.
    12. Take a non-stick pan.
    13. Add sugar and water and start heating it.
    14. Keep stirring on high heat till the mixture becomes sticky.
    15. Now, switch off the heat and drop all the biscuits into this syrup and mix it well.
    16. Leave it in the pan, till the biscuits absorb all the syrup.
    17. Preserve it in a clean, dry airtight jar.
