Ingredients

  • 1 cup - all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1/2 cup, coarsely powdered - Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - cocoa
  • 2 tbsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 2 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup - Raisins
  • 1/2 cup - cocoa
  • 1 cup - powdered Jaggery
  • 1/2 cup - hot water
  • Vanilla or chocolate ice Cream to serve

How to Make Hot fudge sundae

  • Preheat the oven to 170 C. Mix together the first five ingredients.
  • Add milk, oil and essence. Mix till smooth. Stir in the nuts and raisins.
  • Pour in a 9 and a half square cake tin (do not grease).
  • Sprinkle cocoa on top.
  • Dissolve jaggery in hot water and strain through a thin cloth.
  • Pour the jaggery liquid slowly over the mixture in the pan.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.
  • The cake will set on top and a thick chocolate sauce will form at the base.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.
