  • 2 - apples, cut in quarters
  • 2 - pears, cut in quarters
  • 2 - pieces halved and deseeded
  • 3 - thick slices pineapple, cut into chunks
  • 3 tbsp - soft Brown sugar
  • 4 pinches - Cinnamon powder
  • 1 drop - vanilla essence
  • For topping:
  • 1 cup fresh Cream or malai
  • 2 tbsp - Sugar
  • For Garnishing:
  • A few - whole strawberries
  • Canned Cherries
  • Chocolate curls or flakes.
  • How to Make Hot Stewed Fruit with Whipped Cream:

    1. Chill cream well, add sugar.
    2. Beat evenly, till thick and smooth.
    3. Continue beating till mixture is light and fluffy.
    4. It should stand in soft peaks, to be done.
    5. Put in icing bag with a large star nozzle, if desired.
    6. Refrigerate in chiller till required.
    7. Sprinkle sugar, essence and cinnamon on chopped fruit.
    8. Toss to coat all pieces well.
    9. Arrange pieces in a flat bottom non-stick pan.
    10. Cover, and put on very low flame.
    11. Allow sugar to melt and gradually stew fruit to a light brown.
    12. Flip sides of all fruit to cook similarly again.
    13. Take off fire, allow to cool a little.
    14. Just before serving:
    15. Pour warm fruit, and a bit of its juices, into individual bowls.
    16. Choose at least one piece of each fruit.
    17. Make a thick swirl of whipped cream over fruit.
    18. Or simply spoon on dollops of cream over fruit.
    19. Garnish with a canned cherry and /or a strawberry sliced thinly.
    20. Sprinkle a few chocolate curls on top.
    21. Serve immediately, before cream starts to melt.
