Ingredients

  • 1 cup - tur dal
  • 1/2 kg - Meat
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala (cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, fennel)
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tbsp - Tamarind pulp
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 1 bunch - Mint leaves
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Hyderabadi Dal Gosht Ka Salan:

    1. Firstly boil dal in water with whole garam masala and curry leaves.
    2. Add green chillies, tomatoes and salt.
    3. Once cooked, mash and mix in tamarind pulp with some water and keep aside.
    4. For mutton curry:
    5. Heat oil in a cooker, saute onions and mint leaves till they are fried properly.
    6. Add mutton, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric and red chilli powder according to taste, garam masala powder and mix well
    7. Add a glass of water and cook till meat is tender.
    8. Open cooker, add the mashed dal and cook uncovered for 5 min.
    9. Add coriander leaves and serve hot with plain rice.
