Ingredients

  • 8 - Idlis
  • 4 - Onions (medium sized)
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves- 1 bunch, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Idli upma with onions

  • Heat oil in a tawa and splutter the mustard seeds.
  • Now add green chillies, coriander leaves, sliced onion, turmeric powder and deep fry till the onions turn pink.
  • Now crumble the idlis.
  • Add the idli crumble to the fried onion and add the salt.
  • Mix well and serve hot.
