Ingredients

  • 1 - whole chicken, cleaned and cut into small pieces
  • 400 g - Mustard oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 cup - Vinegar
  • For grindingr: 8 - Garlic flakes
  • 1 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 3 - Onions
  • 1 tbsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Indian Chicken Pickle:

    1. Heat the mustard oil in a pan until it emanates smoke.
    2. Fry the chicken pieces golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
    3. Add the ground paste in the same oil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    4. Add the chicken pieces. Fry for 10 minutes.
    5. Let the spiced chicken pieces cool. Add vinegar.
    6. Store in an airtight jar.
    7. Start using the pickle after a day.
