Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 450 gms - minced meat
  • 2 tsp - crushed garlic
  • 2 tsp - grated ginger
  • 400 gms - peeled, chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp - tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp - ground coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 whole chillies
  • 1 capsicum pepper, chopped
  • 400 gms - kidney beans
  • 250 ml water
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Indian chilli

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the onion until very light brown.
  • Add the minced meat, garlic and ginger and fry until the minced meat turns brown.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and bring them to a boil.
  • Cover and allow it to simmer for 50 minutes.
  • Serve with rice and plain yoghurt.
